To answer your question as simply as I can… just go back to your media player and remove sharing access then uninstall media player and reinstall, turn sharing on your player then go back and reassign your movie files to search in media player.. In my case, I've been through 4 Xbox's in the past 5 years, and have had to move my account and licenses multiple times. Hopefully that evil shitbox will stay dead. I always used to be able to stream movies i had on the hard drive of my computer to my xbox via the router, my xbox has always been connected to the internet, i haved never disconnected my xbox, the only thing i have done, is change from a silver to a gold account on live.

Yea that was it and actually ypdate may not know this but you have to have system items such as optional media update on your usb device to stream movies offline. Why the update would do that??
